The basic principle of the universe
The basic principle, on which we will rest upon, is the principle of continuity. It is so important and fundamental principle that we will devote to it a small chapter the general theory of interactions.
Discontinuity and continuity are the philosophical categories, describing the structure of matter and the process of its development.
Discontinuity (discrete) is space-time limitation of elements, states of the object.
Continuity is the relationship (interdependence) of elements and states of the object. Every material object is the unity of discontinuity and continuity.
A continuous function f, having the property that its values are small changed with the change of the argument, if only the variations of the argument are sufficiently small.
So, the principle of continuity asserts that all processes in nature can be described only by continuous functions, and values of arguments and values of results are obtained when using these functions also should be continuous dependences.
Simply speaking, time, space, energy and information are continuous.
Let’s remember that two main laws of nature, in validity of which we no doubt, expressed in the form of continuous mathematical dependences, that is the law of universal gravitation and Coulomb's law, don’t give us the upper limit of theirs applicability. Simply speaking, gravitation and electromagnetic forces are everywhere, that is, there is no point in the space where they don’t express themselves.
The radius of interaction isn’t limited in size. Thus we find the most important confirmation of the principle of continuity. That is, assuming that the energy of an electron in an atom can be changed only by leaps, scientists assume that the space isn’t continuous, and from one point in space to another can move without some intermediate. This assumption is actually used in quantum mechanics and in description of alpha-radiation by the instrumentality of tunneling effect. But it’s, even at first sight, absurd and clearly contradict to the principle of continuity, though, scientists reluctantly agree to the absurd because they aren’t able to explain things differently.
Where else could we find a confirmation of the principle of continuity? Looking around we will understand that everywhere. The principle implies universality. Therefore, we come to the conclusion that any theory or hypothesis which doesn’t satisfy the principle of continuity is erroneous. Therefore, we have a reliable tool for recognition of some such fallibility. Furthermore, the principle of continuity is the best tool for the study of reality.
The law of conservation of energy, this fundamental law, is fully correspond with the principle of continuity and therefore confirms our basic principle!!!
Here are some examples of how the unconscious application of the principle of continuity has led to technical, scientific and social breakthroughs in the development of human civilization.
Historically, the first, apparently, is the invention of the wheel, the circle can be considered two-dimensional symbol of continuity. The results are tremendous. The whole world is on wheels.
Perhaps the second, most important, is the assignment of bank credit. The result is not less grandiose. Money can be used continuously, regardless of their actual presence at the moment. The fact that the credit is the engine of the economy, I think I shouldn’t convince anybody.
Darwin's theory of evolution and Maxwell's theory, which assumed the existence of eddy currents (continuous 1) and closed (continuous 2) currents, are based on our principle.
The basic principle of capitalist production is money - goods – money; it also is based on the principle of continuity.
Democratic form of governance is also based on the principle of continuity (however it can be referred to the monarchy).
Let’s take the present. About 35-40 years ago we used feathers for writing. The invention of ballpoint pen has made this process more simplify and faster.
World Wide Web - the Internet is important because it straight uses the principle of continuity, as the mobile communications. Television has been occupied with serials and TV shows. Continuations of successful films are shot, continuations of novels are written. Boundaries between genres and directions in art are disappeared. All this is using of the principle of continuity, right using.
Let us look at sport. The sporty games with a ball are the most popular and widespread all over the world: football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, baseball, etc. (the ball is three-dimensional symbol of continuity).
In fact, everything has meaning only in the case if it’s continuous. Building the fence has meaning if it entirely surrounds territory (continuous, without gaps). A house will warm and protect you only if it closes space. The presence of voltage in the mains hasn’t had a meaning until you don’t close the circuit. And it’s absolutely everywhere.
We have to do a very important conclusion.
The principle of causality follows from the principle of continuity.
It means that the previous state of some system parameters and the speed of their changes are the cause of subsequent states of the system. All changes are occurred continuously in the system. But for occur of these changes are also necessary causes, which should look for in the previous state. (It’s rather abstruse phrase, well, never mind).
Let me stress again that the principle of continuity is a universal, fundamental, and therefore the most prospective and in science and in the social sphere and in the sphere of public relations. But the most important is that the principle of continuity is correct and universal.
But in the principle of continuity is hidden some danger.
Some scientific or philosophical views, which once were adopted by the people for the truth, have become dogma without any discussion. And it takes a lot of efforts to make most people change their views on the subject.
The world's religions can be considered as the most obvious example of this kind. Each of them was progressive at the beginning, but stopped and took the completed form they have become an obstacle to progress.
The same and an even more is observed in science now. A new chronology can be given as an example. And the very general theory of interaction has already faced this problem.
This problem can be called the inertia of thinking or orientation to authorities. And even when are given almost “crushing argument” and opponents can’t object, they just say. So what that the new theory better (more understandable, well-founded) describes a certain phenomenon, it is still not result for us.
Current line production of education makes heavier process of introduction of new theories or concepts into the education programs. A schoolchild or a student will pass the exam for that course, which he has begun to study. And new developments remain in obscurity. And even for acquaintance they aren’t offered for consideration.
